Setup & WiFi Configuration

Case Assembly & First Power On

🧩 Step-by-Step Written Guide

Step 1 — Assemble the Acrylic Case

  • Unpack all components: miner board, LCD screen, screws, acrylic case pieces.
  • Remove protective film from every acrylic panel.
  • Position the LCD screen so it lines up with the front window.
  • Insert screws and tighten lightly:
    • Long screws → front
    • Short screws → back
  • Place the rear shell on and align all holes. Insert short screws.
  • Tighten gently — acrylic can crack if overtightened.

Step 2 — Power Up & Enter WiFi Setup

  • Plug the NMminer into any USB power source (USB brick, hub, or computer).
  • The device checks for saved WiFi. If none are found, it enters setup mode automatically after ~15 seconds.
  • On your phone/computer, connect to:
    WiFi Network: nmap-2.4g
Password: (no password — open network)
  • Most phones and PCs will redirect automatically. If not, open this IP address in your browser: http://192.168.4.1

Step 3 — Configure Mining Settings

  • Select your home WiFi network and enter your WiFi password.
  • Enter your Bitcoin wallet receive address (public address only).
  • Optionally select your mining pool.
  • Click Save.
  • Wait 10–15 seconds — the device will reboot automatically. Do not unplug it.

Step 4 — Start Mining

  • After reboot, the NMminer connects to your WiFi automatically.
  • The screen updates with live stats: hashrate, difficulty, shares, etc.
  • You can verify activity using the pool explorer.
  • You're mining — just leave it plugged in and running.

    • Stand within 3–5 ft during setup
    • Unplug → plug back in to restart AP mode
  • Stuck on “Connecting…”
    • Double-check WiFi password exactly
    • Must use a 2.4GHz network (NMminer cannot join 5GHz)
    • Power-cycle the device and retry
  • Screen is blank
    • Tap the power/user button to wake the display
    • Check brightness on the configuration page
  • Miner won’t power on
    • Use a USB source rated for 5V / 1A minimum
  • Pool connection issues
    • ASUS routers: disable “AI Protection” temporarily
    • Try a different BTC address format (some pools reject certain types)
