Setup & WiFi Configuration

Device Overview & First Power On

🧩 Step-by-Step Written Guide

Step 1 — Understand the LED Indicators

  • Red LED: Power connected
  • Solid Blue LED: Device is in WiFi setup mode
  • Blinking Blue LED: Mining successfully

This model has no screen, so the blue LED is your main status indicator. You can watch your devices performance using the pool explorer; if using public pool here.

Step 2 — Power Up & Enter WiFi Setup

  • Plug the Mini NerdMiner V2 into any USB-C power source.
  • The red power LED will turn on immediately.
  • After ~10–15 seconds, the blue LED turns solid — this means the miner is broadcasting its WiFi network.
  • On your phone or PC, connect to:
    WiFi Network: NerdMinerAP
    Password: MineYourCoins
  • If it doesn’t auto-load, open this page manually: http://192.168.4.1

Step 3 — Configure Mining Settings

  • Click “Configure Wifi” on the setup page.
  • Enter your home WiFi name (SSID) and password.
  • Enter your Bitcoin receive address (public address only).
  • Optional: Change your mining pool.
  • Click Save. The miner will reboot.
  • Do not unplug during this process — it takes about 15 seconds to reboot.

Step 4 — Start Mining

  • The miner reconnects automatically after rebooting.
  • The blue LED will begin blinking — this means it is hashing.
  • You can verify pool activity using your Bitcoin address on the Public Pool Explorer.
  • Once blinking, you’re mining — just leave it plugged in.
