How to Generate a Bitcoin Wallet for Your NerdMiner / NMminer / OneShot Miner

Before your NerdMiner, NMminer, or OneShot miner can run, you need a Bitcoin wallet. This wallet is where a block reward would be sent if your miner ever finds one. This guide shows the simplest way to generate a wallet directly in your browser.

Step 1: Open WalletGenerator

Open your web browser and go to:
www.bitaddress.org

Step 2: Randomize the Wallet Generation

When the page loads, you will be asked to move your mouse or type random characters. Use your mouse to scroll around the page and move it randomly. This randomness is used to generate a secure wallet.

You can either continue moving your mouse until the counter reaches zero, or click “Skip” if the option appears. Either method will move you to the next step.

Step 3: View Your Wallet Keys

Once the process completes, the page will display two things:

• Your Public Key (Bitcoin Address)
• Your Private Key

The public key is the address you will enter into your miner. The private key controls access to any funds sent to that wallet.

Important Security Notes

• Never share your private key with anyone
• Do not store it in screenshots or cloud notes
• Store it somewhere safe and offline if possible
• Anyone with your private key can take the funds in that wallet

Step 4: Use the Public Address in Your Miner

Copy the public Bitcoin address and paste it into your NerdMiner, NMminer, or OneShot miner setup screen when prompted for a wallet address.

Once saved, your miner will be pointed to a wallet that you fully control.
