Changing Mining Pools - NerdMiner V2

If your device has recently stopped mining or seems to drop in and out, the most common cause is pool instability. Your miner connects to a server called a “pool” to receive mining instructions. When that pool becomes unstable, your device can stall or disconnect.
The quickest fix is to switch to a different, more stable pool. We recommend the NerdMiners Pool — it’s free, publicly accessible, and has proven to be reliable.
Before You Start
Have the following information ready in a note on your phone or computer before you begin. You’ll need to enter it during setup.
What You’ll Need
- ☐ Your BTC wallet address
- ☐ Your home Wi-Fi network name
- ☐ Your home Wi-Fi password
-
☐ Pool address:
pool.nerdminers.org -
☐ Pool port:
3333
NerdMiner V2 — Step-by-Step
To update the pool on a NerdMiner V2, you’ll need to put the device back into configuration mode. It’s the same process as your initial setup.
NerdMinerAP.| Pool URL | pool.nerdminers.org |
| Pool Port | 3333 |
| BTC Address | Your wallet address |
| Timezone (UTC) | Your UTC offset — leave default if unsure (e.g. -5 for EST) |
✓ Verify Your Connection
Visit pool.nerdminers.org and enter your wallet address under “User Status” to confirm your device is connected and hashing. Please allow 2–4 hours for the pool to register your worker when connecting for the first time.
NMminer Devices
If you have an NMminer, updating the pool is even simpler. Find the IP address displayed on your device’s screen, type it into a browser on the same Wi-Fi network, and update the pool URL to pool.nerdminers.org and the port to 3333. Save your settings and the device will reconnect automatically.
